In the state of Tennessee are you required to have PIP?

No, you are not required to have PIP (Personal Injury Protection) as part of your car insurance policy in the state of Tennessee. Tennessee is a tort state and does not require PIP as no-fault states, such as Florida, do.

Tennessee state law requires minimum Bodily Injury Liability limits of $25,000 per injured person up to a total of $50,000 per accident, and Property Damage Liability coverage with a minimum limit of $15,000. This basic coverage is often referred to as 25/50/15 coverage.
