It is our understanding that if you pay the fine then you are admitting your guilt to this charge. You can pay the fine and admit guilt, but will not have to pay more for insurance. If this is your first ticket since it is considered a 'minor violation' and most insurance companies do not charge for it. Also, it may be that all you have to do is present your license and avoid having to pay a fine. It is possible that it was just a warning in which case the same would apply.
