QuestionInsurance Question  I don't have comprehensive or windshield insurance, just the minimum that Arizona requires. If I am driving down the freeway and a commercial truck kicks up a rock that breaks or cracks my windshield and I get the license number, will they pay for my windshield?

AnswerAuto Insurance Answer

It is possible that the insurance company that insures the truck that you allege caused your cracked windshield would want to see evidence of a police or incident report. If you did not get the driver to acknowledge this incident and if a law enforcement agency did not respond then there is really no evidence that his tuck caused your cracked windshield. You do have the option of contacting the truck company to see if their driver reported any incidents and to inquire about what insurance company provides coverage for the truck. You can contact that insurance company to see if they will fix your windshield.
