There are no discounts given when one turns twenty-five years old, but your rates may be calculated in a different driver class. Insurance companies partly base their premiums on driver classes. Sex, age, marital status, and the accident statistics when you put these three together make up these classes. Now, the rates from one insurance company will vary to those of another; however, rates tend to lower when one turns twenty-five years old. I have seen rates lower as much as twenty percent. However, these lower rates can be hidden by a general increase in rates and by acquired violations and accidents.

Comment Update: Premiums typically are not adjusted mid-term because of changes in a policy. For example, if you have no driving record when you start a policy and you are rated as such. Then, mid-policy you get a speeding ticket, your rates aren't re-calculated. Likewise, when your age changes mid-policy the rates typically aren't adjusted until policy renewal.
