QuestionInsurance Question  I just got a written warning. Will my car insurance rates increase?

AnswerAuto Insurance Answer

It is our understanding that if you pay the fine then you are admitting your guilt to this charge. You can pay the fine and admit guilt, but will not have to pay more for insurance. If this is your first ticket since it is considered a 'minor violation' and most insurance companies do not charge for it. Also, it may be that all you have to do is present your license and avoid having to pay a fine. It is possible that it was just a warning in which case the same would apply. If you do not want to do this, then you may consider some of these options.

Other options include:1. You may choose to fight this ticket in court and if you are succesful than the violation will not appear on your driving record and you will not have to pay a higher rate.2. You can choose to complete a driver improvement course.

3. You can click here to get an online automobile insurance quote to compare your rates.
