QuestionInsurance Question  My car was hit when it was parked in the paking lot of a public library in Wisconsin. The lady who hit the car has admitted fault in writing and has given her details. She doesnt want the insurance to be involved and agreed to pay me. I agreed in writing that she should pay within 30 days. Now this lady says she will pay over a period of 6 months in monthly instalments which I do not want to accept. Can I before 30 days file an isurance claim since she has admitted fault? Please advise.

AnswerAuto Insurance Answer

You should always report a claim to your insurance company regardless of fault. This will help them help you later. If the lady has insurance then you should report the accident to her insurance company to get coverage for your car. If you don't have that info then you can file a claim under your collision coverage and they will seek reimbursement from her.
