You will need insurance on the vehicle you are driving.

Most insurance companies require that they be notified of any and all licensed drivers in a household.Your parents will need to notify their insurance company that you got your beginners G1 license. Typically insurance companies will not apply any additional charges for beginner and/or occasional operators with a G1 license.
