QuestionInsurance Question  I got a speeding ticket in SC, if I go to court and pay the fines will they still report the ticket to the GA DMV?

AnswerAuto Insurance Answer

South Carolina reports speeding tickets to all fifty states. Georgia assesses points for out-of-state tickets so likely your ticket will have the same points put to your license as if it happened in state. That means if you were going 15 mph over but less than 19 mph over the speed limit it would be 2 points, between 19 and 24 over the limit would be 3 points, 24 to 34 over is 4 points and 34 mph or more over is 6 points under the GA system.

You still need to pay the fine you received in SC or your license could be suspended in both states. If in need of Georgia insurance look no further for an affordable car insurance quote.
