QuestionInsurance Question  How do I register and insure a car in Florida if I live in Massachusetts ? I will be going back and forth a few times a year. I will be renting a house for a year in Florida ?

AnswerAuto Insurance Answer

To register a vehicle in Florida you will need to submit the original title and proof of Florida insurance to the local county tax collector. Florida insurance is proven by obtaining auto insurance through a Florida licensed insurance company that can electronically report to the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles your insurance information for verification purposes.

You must maintain your automobile insurance in Florida even when you are living outside of FL or surrender your tag and registration. If you do this you will have to re-register your vehicle when you return to Florida from Massachusetts, at which time you will again need to provide proof of Florida Insurance.

We are licensed in Florida and ready to help you find the long term care insurance your vehicle needs.
