On page 1-4 of the 2005 Commercial Driver License Manual it lists four reporting requirements. The forth requirement is that a CDL driver must notify the Tennessee Department of Safety within 30 days if you are convicted of any traffic violation (except parking) occurring in any state other than Tennessee, regardless of whether you were driving a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) or not.

As a CDL holder, after are convicted of an out of state traffic violation, such as a speeding ticket, you must report this by obtaining a Notification of Moving Violation form (SF-0923).If you fail to report an out of state moving violation, or any of the other three required items, you will be fined between $250 to $500 and be sent to jail for 2 to 30 days.
