QuestionInsurance Question  How long does a DUI stay on your driving record in South Carolina?

AnswerAuto Insurance Answer

Points for traffic violations in South Carolina are cut in half after one year and after two years are wiped out completely. The violation however remains on your driving record for 3 years from the date that the ticket was issued according to the SC driver's manual.

The South Carolina driver's manual unfortunately does not state how long a conviction for a DUI will remain on your driving record. You will need to contact the SC Department of Motor Vehicles to find out if the conviction stays on your record 5, 7, 10 years or always remains on it.
