Driving with a suspended license in California is a violation worth 2 points on your driving record. This infraction of the law comes with other penalties such as your vehicle being impounded, fines, jail time, and/or a longer license suspension time or the license being revoked.

The length of time in which an offense stays on your CA driving record depends on the severity of the offense. Most points for minor infractions, such as an illegal turn, speeding, etc will stay on your record for 3 years. Points and violations of more serious offenses, such as hit and run or a DUI stay on your MVR for 7 to years generally.
