Georgia is not a member of the Drivers License Compact that requires states to transfer ticket information back to the state in which a person is licensed. But the GA DMV has decided to still report convictions of moving violations back the home state of a person with an out of state license.
South Carolina code of law states that convictions for out of state moving violations that would be a violation according to SC statutes may be recorded against the driver. Since this is a speeding ticket there should be a like offense in SC that will be put on your driving record.
To find out how this out of state ticket will be recorded and if points will be assessed, contact the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles.
