QuestionInsurance Question  In order to reinstate my suspended license, the State of Florida (where my license was suspended) says I need to have an SR-22. I have not driven since my license was suspended, I own no vehicle, and I now live in Tennessee. What type of coverage can I get?

AnswerAuto Insurance Answer

If you do not own a vehicle but are required to file a SR-22 in Florida (or perhaps now in Tennessee since you have moved) then it appears you would need a non-owners SR-22.

I would suggest contacting the Florida Highway Safety and and Motor Vehicles (HSMV) to find out if you must get file a SR-22 in Tennessee in order to reinstate you Florida license. It may be now that you have moved out of state, and can prove that to the HSMV, they may have different requirements for you to reinstate your license.
