Normally you need to be the owner of the car and thus have insurable interest in it to place insurance on a vehicle. Since the car is still under your name but you want your daughter purchase her own insurance on it, it may be difficult for her to find such insurance without having her name on the registration or title, giving her insurable interest.
We do work with Esurance that in some cases does allow for a person to purchase insurance of a vehicle, even without having insurable interest in it. But all insurabel interests must be on the policy. Depending on the state in which you live and keep the vehicle, you can get a quote with Esurance.
If your daughter is unable to get this type of insurance then you may want to add your daughter to the title with you until she pays off the vehicle. With her name on the title she should then be able to find insurance in her name for the vehicle.
