We too have heard that speeding tickets for 10 mph or under do not affect your insurance rates normally in Oklahoma however we are not aware of any specific OK insurance law that requires this.
We contacted the Oklahoma Insurance Department about this issue and their representative responded that your auto insurance rates could be affected by a speeding violation of 10 mph over the speed limit; however, they need would look into this matter before they would be able to give you a definitive answer.
The representative said if you contacted the consumer assistance division of the OK DOI they would look into this matter on your behalf. This likely means that they would look up the rating system filed by your specific insurance provider to see if according to your insurer's rate filings they would raise your rate for a speeding ticket of 10 mph or under the speed limit.
The DOI representative stated that all inquiries do need to be in writing, and you would need to fill out a Request for Assistance form which is available online at the OK DOI site.
