THE cost of running a car has risen by an average of pounds 539 in the last year despite the recent dip in fuel prices, an RAC report showed today. Motorists now fork out an average of more than pounds 5,500 a year to operate their vehicles. Depreciation is the biggest single expense, accounting for pounds 2,420 on average in 2006 - a 22 per cent increase on 2005.....
