Feb. 28--Officials in Washington state last week nabbed the ringleader of a scam to defraud auto insurance companies in Santa Clara County, the District Attorney said today. Prosecutors suspect that Khai Van Nhin of San Jose recruited and instructed members of a 25-person fraud ring. The largely San Jose-based group allegedly reported at least 22 fake car accidents to various insurance companies in a five-year period, prosecutors said.....
