But price comparison service uSwitch.com warns that the average mortgage arrangement fee of pounds 987 costs pounds 2,094 when it is added to a 25-year mortgage - that's 112% more than the original fee. USwitch.com reckons almost 8m people have added arrangement fees to their mortgage instead of paying up-front - adding an extra pounds 8.7bn to their repayments.....
