Fantastic… you are the first company with no hassles. I like the low down payments too!

As we celebrate the 60th birthday of the NHS, I would like to put politicians and media commentators right on a statement they continually use to describe the availability of treatment on the NHS.
I mean the statement that "treatment is available free at the point of need". The NHS is not free at the point of need or, if it comes to that, anywhere else!
At its conception in 1947, taxpayers where obliged to donate a percentage of their earnings, known as National Insurance, to pay for the universal health needs of the population, and this tax is taken from earnings to this day.
All private insurance schemes are designed to meet a specific need. For example, car insurance is designed to insure one against theft, accident, larceny, etc.
Any claim made against this insurance will be met, provided the claimant has paid the necessary subscriptions.
There is no difference between taking out car insurance for an annual premium, or paying a weekly or monthly premium to the Government for health insurance.
Most people are, no doubt, very grateful that such a scheme exists because, without it, they would be paying exorbitant private health premiums and many would be left without care because of their inability to pay.
In short, the people of this nation pay into a fund to deliver a universal service for the benefit of everyone, and while National Insurance is deducted from earnings, there is no way that the NHS can be described as free!
