THE average UK annual car insurance premium is pounds 460 and the difference between the most expensive insurers and the cheapest is almost pounds 110. This is for the same vehicles, driven by the same drivers, living in the same towns and cities. According to Sainsbury's Bank, if all of the UK motorists switched to the cheapest 25 per cent of insurers they would collectively save pounds 1.17 billion a year in premiums.....
