DRIVERS who pay their car insurance in monthly instalments by Direct Debit are being charged more than 20 per cent in interest. That's much higher than the average of 15.9 per cent charged by credit cards. The survey found that nearly two-thirds of motor policies charge in excess of 20 per cent, with some demanding more than 35 per cent for customers who choose to spread payments.....
