Saving on insurance is on everyone's mind. Auto insurance is required by law in most states and when you have to buy it, the best you can do as a consumer is figure out how to save the most money on your auto insurance. Keep yourself aware of changes to the auto insurance laws as well as to changes in your life that may qualify you for discounts on your auto policy. Changes like getting married, having a child, improving your credit score, or becoming a senior citizen. But the best way to keep your auto insurance rates great is to drive more slowly. If you are a speedy driver that likes to get from point A to point B as fast as possible, learn how to change your habits. A great discount on a policy with a speeding ticket just isn't as great as a great discount and a clean driving record. Don't think a radar detector or some other illegal toy will help, either. Police have ways of getting around the radar detector, and you may not remember to plug in your device all the time. It only takes one ticket to raise your auto insurance rate. Drive the speed limit or below and keep an eye out for other traffic and you will keep your auto insurance rate low. Last Updated 5:19 PM May-15-2009 |
