A friend of mine is willing to sell me her truck by allowing me to make payments to her, and then she will send in the payment to her finance company. Everything will stay in her name until it is paid off. I need to know if I can get the car 'fully' insured in my name if the financing is in her name?

I have asked for the excluded driver's name to be taken off my policy, but the insurance company said they can't do it. Do you know why?

While talking to the owner, he told me that if I buy the car, I would need to list his name on my policy. I do not understand why I would have to list his name on my policy.
