I work for a Production Company in Toronto, Canada and we are shooting a TV series in the US this summer/fall. We will be purchasing a vehicle in California and will be using it to drive across the country as part of the show. I am wondering how we should go about getting insurance without a US address. Is this possible? If yes, where can I get a quote? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I received a quote for snowmobile insurance, in Wisconsin, for $210/yr. A week later I went in and signed the policy. The next day I received a call from my agent stating that the underwriters changed the snowmobile policy on the previous Monday, between the quote and signing. The new quote under the new policy came in at $510/yr. My questions is: Am I entitled to the first quote price since it was performed before the change took place? Or do I have to take the quote price at the time of signing the policy?

I am planning on moving to Los Angeles, California this summer and am currently debating on having a car or not. So, in order to make my decision, I have decided to attempt to retrieve quotes from insurance companies, just to get an idea. Since I currently do not reside in California, I am having difficulty filling out the required information. I do not have a definite place of where I will be living, but am interested in the quotes to get a general idea of what insurance could run. Is there any way I might be able to retrieve at least a general quote or figure without having a current address?
