More than two thirds of North East motorists are unaware of the high costs of UK motoring. A survey by Prudential Car Insurance found 67% of drivers in the region underestimate the average pounds 416 per month running costs and put them at only pounds 100. Former race car driver Tiff Needell said: "The difference in costs between the UK and the rest of Europe are considerable."....
