Q

How many points are assessed in Pennsylvania for being 13 MPH over the speed limit? Where can I find a listing of Pennsylvania's points?

A

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) under the state's vehicle code section 3362, three (3) points are assessed for exceeding the speed limit by 11- 15 miles per hour. If the violation occurs in an active work zone, then a 15 day suspension will follow.

You can get a quote for Pittsburgh auto insurance here on our site or for anywhere else in PA.We can insure you in any other state as well.

More details regarding Pennsylvania's point system can be found on the PennDOT site under their points system fact sheet.
