DriveEasy is available in most states except for California, Hawaii, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

These coverages pay for injuries or property damage that you cause. GEICO also offers coverage that may be required if you’re leasing or financing your car, including:

My experience getting a quote

Getting a quote with GEICO was very fast and straightforward. I’ve been a GEICO customer before, so I knew to expect a streamlined quote experience.

After entering my name and address, GEICO was able to find the vehicles associated with my address.

I then had the opportunity to explore military or government-related discount opportunities, but they did not apply to me.

GEICO also offered a long list of potential affinity discounts based on membership in groups such as alumni associations, warehouse clubs or business and professional organizations. None of the groups I am in were among those listed, however.

I was also invited to GEICO’s DriveEasy program, with the potential to save up to 15%. I declined, but the discount was tempting.

Without those discounts, the monthly quoted premium for my spouse and me was $95.71. That included $100 in savings. I could have saved another $44 off my six-month premium by paying in full at checkout.

Discounts I qualified for included: Restraint discount, anti-theft discount for my vehicle, good driver, financial responsibility (continuous coverage) and a multi-vehicle discount.

It was then that I realized that the quote I received was for 50/100/25 coverage, which is lower than what I wanted. It included a $1,000 deductible for comprehensive coverage on my 2025 Subaru. What seemed like a competitive rate became a little less competitive.

However, I was still pleased with the experience and how easily I obtained a quote, especially compared to some other insurers.
